The Maui Adventures Kayak Whale Watch offers tours to observe humpback whales, dolphins, and sea birds. Each trip includes gear rentals for safe ocean paddle adventures offered in a private charter boat with experienced staff members for maximum safety and enjoyment.
A full-day tour on the water is offered to see whales in the winter months, and humpback whales migrate each year from Alaska to Hawaii to calve. Humpback whales are the stars of these tours. Guests will enjoy hearing about the history of these magnificent beasts and their migration patterns and learning about Hawaiian culture and marine ecosystems.
The Maui Adventures Kayak Whale Watch offers daytime tours from 6:30 am – 3:00 pm tailored for all ages, beginner to experienced kayakers. Kayak tours offer a variety of water activities that include chilling out and relaxing, paddling through the ocean, snorkeling (with gear), paddle boarding, and even kayak surfing. The tour’s staff members are professionals on-site to answer any questions and ensure guests enjoy their time on the water. Kayak whale watching is a fun and safe way to view whales. As long as guests are below the 20-mile-per-hour speed limit, they can enjoy their privacy to look out and watch the whales.
National Humpback Whale Marine Sanctuary is located in the northeast corner of the Hawaiian Islands and serves as a haven for Hawaiian humpback whales. Approximately 60,000 humpback whales migrate there each winter to give birth and mate. The whales migrate back to Alaska each summer to feed and raise their young.
Tropical fishes are present at Maui Adventures. Maui Adventures also has various sea turtles, dolphins, and birds commonly spotted in the ocean on any tour.
Maui Adventures is the only one to offer this tour that allows guests to see whales in addition to dolphins and sea birds. Today’s kayak tour is silent, and with the help of headphones, guests can listen to an all-encompassing view of the ocean and whales.
Turtle reef snorkel tour offers guests the chance to view Hawaiian green sea turtles and a variety of fish that inhabit the ocean. Guests can snorkel, swim, surf or kayak while hopping on the tour boat to view turtles. The turtle reef is located just off Maui’s West side and is regarded as one of Hawaii’s top snorkeling spots for green sea turtles.
