Karen Pope, CNM, is a dedicated midwife serving the Tucson community through Graceful Beginnings Midwifery. Her journey into midwifery began with her own experience of a homebirth during her third pregnancy in 1999, which inspired her to become a doula and childbirth educator. She graduated with her ADN in nursing from Tulsa Community College in 2005 and later earned her Master’s in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University, becoming a certified nurse-midwife in 2016.
Karen offers a comprehensive range of services designed to support women through their entire reproductive journey. Her offerings include homebirth and waterbirth, which provide a natural and intimate birthing experience in the comfort of one’s own home. She also provides thorough prenatal and postpartum care, ensuring continuous support before, during, and after childbirth. Additionally, Karen offers lactation support to help new mothers with breastfeeding.
Beyond pregnancy-related services, Karen provides primary gynecological care. This includes PAP and STI screenings, family planning, preconception counseling, fertility awareness, and hormonal birth control management, including IUD placement and removal.
