He lives in Washington. The state of Idaho licenses Dave as a Professional Fly-Fisherman, an Idaho State Certified Bow fisherman, and he has been awarded a Master Angler License by the International Game Fish Association (IGFA). He holds a Commercial Fishing License from Montana and licenses from both Idaho and Washington State.
People often ask him what kind of flies he uses, if he uses any tackle, or even if he tells them what type of bait they should use. He rarely shares information like that with people. Why? Because Dave has a lot more fun fishing with people than he does talking about it.
