Shooting Stars Dance Company is owned and operated by Kristin Pierce in New York City. Kristin grew up dancing in highly classical and competitive dance companies. She has a bachelors/masters degree in Fine Arts, and has been on multiple tv shows and has had years of experience in the spotlight. She created Shooting Stars NYC almost 23 years ago. Kristin has put her heart and soul into this, and made a safe haven for girls to learn confidence, develop friendships, and find their voice through dance. The main focus of SSDC is competitive dance. They have dance teams, classes, and host birthday parties. They have ten different teams that range from beginners to advanced dancers. Some teams are more competitive, and have more of a rigorous selection process. They’ve been winning for 23 years and have over 800 trophies. Besides competitions, they’ve also been featured in half-time shows, America’s got talent, magazines, and so much more! They also offer private singing, dancing, and acting lessons. This company has produced some of the “country’s top competitive dance teams”, specializing in hip-hop, lyrical, contemporary, street jazz, and precision. SSDC has successful graduates who have moved to prestigious ivy league dance teams, became well known singers and actors, and became great performers. The Shooting Stars Dance team’s mission is teamwork, dedication, and overall leadership.
